How to Become a Camera Ready Bride

The bride is the most photographed person from the entire wedding. That's why the bride must know how to pose for the camera, how to avoid any expressions that could damage the pictures, how to be relaxed and natural. Thus, we are trying to offer you some pieces of advice not to be nervous on your big special day. We recommend a simple face exercise that you could practice in the morning, 3-5 minutes a day, in front of a mirror, in order to be aware of those expressions that put you in a good or bad light.

You must AVOID:

1. Deer in the headlights

Avoid looking directly into the camera lens. Focus your eyes just above the lens or look past the lens, over the photographer's shoulder. Take a breath and let your personality show through.

2. Double chin

Be aware of the angle from which the camera is shooting. If the lens is below eye level and you are looking down, you run the risk of having a double chin. Always look up towards the camera. For a long thin neck in the photo, project your chin out.

3. Fake smile

Think of something funny to achieve a natural smile. Smile with your eyes as well as your mouth.

4. Too posed

Focus on something other than the camera. Change your expressions often while engaging the photographer. Let your face and body relax to look more natural.

Many photographers say that most photogenic people are not necessarly the most attractive, but those who are not intimidated by the camera. So take our pieces of advice into consideration, be natural, be relaxed, smile and you'll make a beautiful bride!
